High Quality Metal Fabrication

Precision is the name of the game when it comes to metal fabrication. For more than five decades, Midwest Metal Products has provided high-quality metal fabrication to business and companies across the world. We know quality starts at the very beginning with the right design and the right tools.

No matter what the size or scope of your project, we will deliver a highly-detailed finished fabrication product. We’re proud of our many industry certifications—including NADCAP as well as AS9100 and ISO 9001:2008. These illustrious designations show that we exceed industry standards for quality and precision.

Our instruments and tools make all the difference. After our skilled fabricators program your job specifications into our CNC machinery, they use a variety of processes to ensure your job is accurate down to the last detail.

Before beginning a production run, we use a high speed laser scanner to check each part. The high-tech FabriVISION® automatic inspection machine compares your first piece to the original CAD drawings. This flat laser scanner performs continuous audits during the manufacturing process and eliminates costly human errors, saving you time and money.

We know you depend on our accuracy and attention to detail. And we offer outstanding tools for quality control. For example, we use a Brown and Sharpe Coordinated Measuring Machine (CMM) that allows us to guarantee accuracy down to .001.” How’s that for precise?

Our mobile inspection system—called a FaroArm™—helps us verify formed dimensions down to .005.” This portable measurement device can be used in a wide variety of applications, including mold inspections, rapid prototyping, 3D modeling, and CAD-to-part comparisons. We appreciate the flexibility and versatility of the FaroArm. Its precise measurements and ability to suggest quality improvements reduce production costs.

At Midwest Metal Products, we consistently gather data to improve our work. Our shop floor network allows us to analyze and report on the manufacturing process in real time. This reduces waste and rework, and boosts our quality improvement efforts.

In addition to having the latest technology and most precise machinery, Midwest Metal Products is proud to employ highly experienced team members. Every production run is supervised by SPC (Statistical Process Control) trained employees. This quality control method uses statistical data to analyze the process, detect issues, and ensure a clean production run. Our team members extrapolate data to make quick and time-saving decisions.

In all we do, we practice 5S lean manufacturing and Total Quality Manufacturing (TQM) principles. We feel the 5S process (sort, straighten, shine, standardize, and sustain) helps us build a solid foundation, a platform upon which we can continually improve. Our TQM approach encourages all our workers to become involved and suggest improvements. The aim is to grow and succeed though customer satisfaction.

At Midwest Metal Products, we will meet all your custom fabrication needs. We have the tools, the experience, and the expertise you need for quality metal fabrication. Contact MMP today for more information.
