| Midwest Metal Products Receives Rockwell Collins Awards CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (April 20, 2000) Midwest Metal Products, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, has received The Presidents Award for the Year 2000 from Rockwell Collins, the highest award Rockwell Collins bestows on its suppliers. Midwest Metal Products, manufacturer of sheet metal components, has also been named the Small Woman-Owned Business of the Year 2000 and the Sheet Metal Commodity Supplier of the Year 2000. Midwest Metal Products was cited for their quality, delivery performance and lowest total cost. Midwest Metal Products was also recognized for their responsiveness on short lead-time items and on corrective action requests. They also participated in the Rockwell Collins Lean Electronics (SM) Radical Process Improvement Program. Midwest Metal Products has been a supplier to Rockwell Collins since 1972. The award was presented by Herm Reininga, vice president of Operations, at the recent Rockwell Collins Annual Supplier Conference in Cedar Rapids.
